N800 Blog

The state of gaming on the N800 is pretty darn strong, we have emulators, native games, flash games and so much more. One application that allows you to run a lot of the classic games is DosBox. Dosbox is a dos emulator that runs on the N800, it allows you to install and play a lot of the classic games! Here’s a few videos of games running on dosbox.

Do you use LiveJournal? A whole heap of people do and a few of them are Intent Tablet owners. Personally I see the ability to blog on the go to be very enticing. Well Zapys LJ application has been ported over for use on both the N800 and N810.

Ever wanted to water proof you Internet Tablet? Didn’t think so, but check this video out anyway…

Personally I would’t be comfortable sending off my N800 for waterproofing but this may help some of those people is wetter climates.

I found this on YouTube, though I it hasn’t been released it shows that the Internet Tablets could be used as a form of mobile audio workstation. I really hope the creator of this application releases it to the public!

OS 2008 Diablo has been released for both the N800 and the N810! The new operating system updated includes a bunch of new and updated features which continue to make the Internet Tablets an amazing mobile device. Some of the things that are new in Diablo that I have noticed so far are:

OS Updates from the Application Manager
Improved Flash Support (Youtube runs perfectly!)
Improved Browser Speed
New email client - Modest

How to Install the OS 2008 Update

Nokia N810 Firmware image
Nokia N800 Firmware image

If you’re running Windows then use the Nokia Software Updater to update your N800 / N810. Mac users can use the 770 Flasher to upgrade in OSX and Linux users check out this post on Internet Tablet Talk.

Not 100% sure if you can do this on the N800, but I wouldnt see why you could. Check out this amazing video!
